Our Mission
Ratchet Adult School exists to make technology more digestible for communities often left out of the tech conversation.
This is a learning space for people who are curious, overwhelmed, self taught, returning to the workforce, changing careers, or tired of feeling left behind by fast moving technology.
The focus is practical education.
You learn the what, when, who, and how of technology.
You learn how to use it immediately in your life, your job search, or your creative work.
What we stand for

Classes cover topics like Intro to AI Technology, ChatGPT for Job Search, and hands on workshops that show you how to use tools, not just talk about them.
As the school grows, additional instructors will teach under the Ratchet Adult School umbrella, all aligned with the same mission.

About the Founder
About the Founder
Ratchet Adult School was founded by Kitty Bradshaw, an educator, writer, and community teacher who believes access to information changes lives.
Her work centers on breaking down complex ideas into clear, usable knowledge that people can apply right away.
In live classes, Kitty teaches under the name Professor Ratchet Auntie, bringing clarity, humor, and straight talk into every session.
Her approach is rooted in service, equity, and the belief that understanding technology is a form of self advocacy.
